Schneider Electric appoints Nirupa Chander

Schneider Electrical has appointed Nirupa Chander as Senior Vice President, Safe Energy & Knowledge Facilities, Worldwide Operations.

Within the position, Nirupa will lead a division of greater than 700 professionals, supporting prospects and companions of their digital transformation journeys and reaching their sustainability targets in an all-electric world throughout worldwide zones, together with MEA, EAP, Japan, India and South America.

“Understanding the advanced and nuanced interaction between power and information will likely be key to navigating the way forward for our trade,” stated Pankaj Sharma, Government Vice President, Safe Energy, Knowledge Facilities & International Companies, Schneider Electrical. “Nirupa’s expertise and perception on this space will likely be invaluable within the ongoing digitalization of the power sector and our more and more digital world, particularly.”

A veteran of the power trade, Nirupa has in depth expertise in power grids, micro-grids, and automation, in addition to mission administration, engineering, service and enterprise growth.

Starting her profession with India’s largest industrial electrical firm, she progressed from mission engineering roles via mission administration, and nation supervisor roles with main engineering corporations, reminiscent of ABB and Hitachi Power, in Singapore and Australia earlier than becoming a member of Schneider Electrical in 2022 as Vice President of Energy Techniques for the Center East and Africa.

Commenting on her appointment, Nirupa stated, “Early profession experiences with controls and automation introduced me into IT infrastructure, displaying me how power and information are more and more intertwined. Engaged on microgrids highlighted the complexity of balancing the grid with power storage expertise and renewables — insights now relevant to creating sustainable information facilities.”

Nirupa holds a level in Engineering from Gujarat College in Electronics and is a licensed mission administration skilled. She is a graduate of management packages from each the Wharton Faculty and INSEAD Government Schooling.
