The power, positioned within the landmark former Neckermann headquarters, is the third information heart inside Digital Realty’s Digital Park Fechenheim campus and represents a singular fusion of innovation, sustainability, and architectural heritage.

FRA18 gives 8,200 sq. meters of colocation area and a complete IT capability of 16 megawatts (MW), designed to help high-performance computing (HPC) and synthetic intelligence (AI) workloads. The power launches with an preliminary capability of 6.4MW in part one, with a further 9.6MW anticipated to return on-line in later phases.

Optimized for AI and HPC purposes, FRA18 is supplied with state-of-the-art infrastructure, together with superior liquid cooling expertise that maximizes effectivity and efficiency. Furthermore, with the mixing of ServiceFabric™, Digital Realty enhances FRA18’s strong information safety and connectivity capabilities, giving clients seamless entry to SCION (Scalability, Management, and Isolation On Subsequent-Era Networks) – a next-generation safe web protocol important for industries like finance and prescribed drugs.

The repurposing of the Egon Eiermann-designed constructing underscores Digital Realty’s dedication to sustainability and architectural preservation. The long-lasting constructing, full with its signature staircases, balconies, and rainwater administration system, stays intact, whereas former distribution flooring have been reworked into high-performance information halls.

Sustainability is a key pillar of the Digital Park Fechenheim growth. In collaboration with environmental authorities, Digital Realty is implementing a complete renaturation technique, creating intensive inexperienced areas and restoring 10,000 sq. meters of land to reinforce biodiversity and groundwater regeneration.
