VyOS Networks, a Poway, CA-based firm which focuses on open-source networking options, acquired Accel-PPP, a vendor of a VPN, PPPoE and IPoE server utility for Linux.

The quantity of the deal was not disclosed.

This acquisition will increase VyOS Networks’ open-source choices, and assist VyOS maintain offering clients with a unified answer for managing a number of VPN protocols alongside PPPoE and IPoE in a single cohesive platform.

Accel-PPP is a supplier of an open-source utility specializing in aggregating numerous VPN protocols and IPoE right into a single answer. Its modular structure and superior options—together with multi-threaded processing, RADIUS integration, and in depth assist for IPv6—align with VyOS Networks’ imaginative and prescient of offering safe, clear, and customizable networking options.
