Vertiv has launched new configurations of its Vertiv MegaMod HDX, a prefabricated energy and cooling infrastructure for high-density computing environments, together with synthetic intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) deployments. These configurations search to supply operators the adaptability required to help escalating energy and cooling wants whereas optimising area utilisation and deployment velocity.

The MegaMod HDX combines direct-to-chip liquid cooling with air-cooled architectures, addressing the thermal necessities imposed by AI workloads. This supplies help for pod-style AI environments and complicated GPU clusters. The compact mannequin has a normal module top, accommodating as much as 13 racks with energy capacities reaching 1.25 MW, whereas the extended-height combo model homes as much as 144 racks and helps energy capacities as much as 10 MW. Each configurations again rack densities from 50 kW to greater than 100 kW per rack.

The MegaMod HDX options characteristic a hybrid cooling structure, merging direct-to-chip liquid cooling with adaptable air methods in an built-in, prefabricated pod. The distributed redundant energy structure helps steady operation even when a module turns into inactive. A buffer-tank thermal backup system permits GPU clusters to stay secure throughout upkeep or load transitions, guaranteeing operational precision.

Mixed with Vertiv’s portfolio of energy, thermal, and IT administration options—just like the Vertiv Liebert APM2 UPS and Vertiv CoolChip CDU—the MegaMod HDX configurations search to spice up reliability and scale. Supporting scalable, high-performance infrastructures, these options are engineered to satisfy escalating density calls for.

Vertiv’s suite of IT rack infrastructure options is tailor-made to accommodate and help numerous IT system wants, enhancing performance with merchandise just like the Vertiv racks and combinational CoolChip options.
