TE Connectivity, a supplier of connectivity and sensor options, has unveiled its 56G MezzaWave connectors and cable assemblies. These options are designed to assist high-demand functions throughout sectors together with edge AI, knowledge centres, industrial automation, robotics, aerospace, and defence.

The 56G MezzaWave connector household makes use of an open-pin-field array platform and helps knowledge charges as much as 56 Gbps PAM4, geared toward next-generation modular methods.

The collection affords design flexibility, with a 1.27mm pitch possibility, pin counts starting from 80 to 560, and stack heights between 7 and 10mm. Its drop-in compatibility permits direct substitute of present elements with out requiring system redesign.

By combining ball grid array (BGA) expertise with an enhanced mechanical design, MezzaWave connectors assist high-speed knowledge switch. They’re rated for as much as 1,000 mating cycles and function throughout a temperature vary of -55ºC to 125ºC. The connectors adjust to VMEbus Worldwide Commerce Affiliation (VITA) and American Nationwide Requirements Institute (ANSI) requirements, aiming to supply routing and grounding flexibility for system integration.

Key advantages of TE’s 56G MezzaWave connectors and cable assemblies embody:

  • Excessive-performance knowledge assist: Able to dealing with knowledge charges as much as 56 Gbps PAM4, sustaining sign integrity in high-density methods.
  • Design flexibility: A number of pin counts, stack heights, and a 1.27mm pitch assist optimised footprint and routing; built-in 1.6A energy pins assist cut back element rely.
  • Seamless upgrades and cost-effectiveness: Drop-in compatibility permits direct element substitute, lowering redesign prices; BGA expertise could present price financial savings of 20–30%.
  • Reliability for demanding environments: Solder ball terminations improve connection, and the rugged design helps constant efficiency. Compliance with VITA 57.1 – FMC and VITA 57.4 – FMC+ requirements helps interoperability and system integration.
