(Bloomberg) — SoftBank Group has agreed to amass semiconductor designer Ampere Computing in a transfer that additional broadens the Japanese funding agency’s push into synthetic intelligence infrastructure.

SoftBank is shopping for Ampere in an all-cash transaction that values the Santa Clara, California-based agency at $6.5 billion, in line with a joint assertion Wednesday confirming an earlier report by Bloomberg Information.
