nEye Systems Completes $58M Series B Financing

nEye Systems, an Emeryville, CA-based optical change startup, closed a $58m Collection B financing.

The spherical, which introduced whole funding to $72.5m, was led by Alphabet’s unbiased development fund, CapitalG, with participation from M12, Microsoft’s enterprise fund; Micron Ventures; NVIDIA; and Socratic Companions. nEye beforehand secured an unannounced Collection A led by TEDA Holdings with help from Innolight Expertise USA and extra Seed funds.

Based in 2020 and led by Professor Ming Wu, nEye Techniques is an optical change startup targeted on information facilities. Its MEMS-based silicon photonics optical circuit switches (OCS) allow direct optical connections amongst hundreds of GPUs and reminiscence models. The SuperSwitch is an ultra-low energy consumption, excessive radix, compact chip-scale design, providing hyperscale information facilities enhanced efficiency, effectivity, and scalability.

nEye’s know-how will be deployed in varied purposes, together with community flattening, community resilience, and contained in the rack to increase GPU cluster sizes and enhance GPU utilization effectivity.
