Motivair by Schneider Electric announces new range of CDUs
SHARE

Motivair by Schneider Electrical has launched two new Coolant Distribution Models (CDUs) which are engineered to satisfy the rising thermal calls for of HPC and AI workloads. These new fashions are the corporate’s first purpose-built CDUs for optimized set up in utility corridors, providing information middle operators enhanced flexibility, efficiency, and integration throughout a wider vary of deployments.

The brand new CDUs, the MCDU-45 and MCDU-55, are actually obtainable globally, with manufacturing ramping up in early 2026. Each present wider cooling capacities, options, and design situations, permitting operators to leverage a wider vary of chilled water temperatures to optimize deployment and operations. With the addition of those new CDUs to its end-to-end liquid cooling portfolio, Motivair by Schneider Electrical provides extra ground mounted CDUs and in-rack items, tailor-made to allow enhanced cooling methods for hyperscale, AI, colocation, edge, and retrofit environments.

Key Advantages of the MCDU-45 and MCDU-55

The brand new CDUs are designed to replicate the evolution of liquid cooling and match altering infrastructure deployments for the AI period. Clients are more and more deploying CDUs in areas exterior of the white house.

Having a full vary of CDU deployment choices permits operators to tailor cooling methods to their particular AI infrastructure, information middle design, and workload calls for to attain optimum thermal efficiency and operational resilience as compute densities proceed to rise. The important thing advantages of the MCDU-45 and MCDU-55 embody:

• House Optimization and Flexibility: With new and present CDU choices, operators have better flexibility to decide on the appropriate mannequin that meets their particular deployment objectives.

• Vitality Financial savings: CDUs function wider working ranges, enabling warmth rejection methods to unlock power effectivity and enhance PUE.

• Simplified Upkeep and Accessibility: Various placement of CDUs improves flexibility for service entry with out disrupting AI workload or IT operations.

• Enhanced Integration with Chiller Vegetation: The total vary of CDUs (MCDU-25 by way of MCDU60 fashions) helps superior thermal administration methods with exact circulate management, real-time monitoring, and adaptive load balancing for optimized plant efficiency and decreased power consumption.

“Relating to information middle liquid cooling, flexibility is the important thing with prospects demanding a extra various and bigger portfolio of end-to-end options,” stated Andrew Bradner, Senior Vice President, Cooling Enterprise at Schneider Electrical. “Our new CDUs, introduced immediately, permit prospects to match deployment methods to a wider vary of accelerated computing functions whereas leveraging many years of specialised cooling expertise to make sure optimum efficiency, reliability, and future-readiness.”

Backed by Confirmed Experience and World Attain

The Motivair by Schneider Electrical CDUs are the primary new merchandise which have been unveiled since Schneider Electrical’s acquisition of Motivair in February 2025. Necessitated by the exponential progress of AI functions, significantly in HPC, AI Manufacturing unit and information middle environments, the CDUs are designed to satisfy the explosive demand of high-density computing with environment friendly and scalable liquid cooling options.

“Motivair is a trusted companion for superior liquid cooling options, and our new vary of applied sciences permits information middle operators to navigate the AI period with confidence,” stated Wealthy Whitmore, CEO of Motivair. “Along with Schneider Electrical, our purpose is to ship next-generation cooling options that adapt to any HPC, AI or superior information middle deployment to ship seamless scalability, efficiency, and reliability when it issues most.”
