DigitalOcean has acquired Katanemo Labs, a pacesetter in agentic AI infrastructure, to boost its Agentic Inference Cloud platform.

Katanemo Labs is concentrated on agentic AI infrastructure, and has an open-source undertaking known as Plano that facilitates constructing agentic techniques into deployable models.

The acquisition permits DigitalOcean to develop its platform to help the operational layer of AI techniques, serving to builders construct, run, and enhance AI brokers in manufacturing.

“The agentic period calls for greater than GPU capability, it requires a brand new class of infrastructure primitives,” says Vinay Kumar, Chief Product and Expertise Officer of DigitalOcean. “Katanemo Labs has spent years constructing precisely that: an AI-native knowledge airplane and specialised fashions that make multi-agent techniques dependable, observable, and quick to deploy. With Katanemo Labs’s suite of merchandise and superior analysis, we’re accelerating the trail from prototype to manufacturing by giving builders the predictability and efficiency they should scale with confidence.”

DigitalOcean will use Katanemo’s signals-based observability know-how to offer higher reliability and efficiency of the agent in manufacturing environments.

Customers of the DigitalOcean market will have the ability to reap the benefits of the GPU infrastructure, cloud providers, and agentic primitives. This acquisition permits prospects to construct AI-native functions.

DigitalOcean says it doesn’t see a major impression on DigitalOcean general monetary outcomes for 2026 because of the deal.
