Crusoe, a vertically built-in AI infrastructure supplier, has introduced a strategic partnership with Norwegian agency Polar to ascertain its first information heart on mainland Europe. The initiative marks a major step in Crusoe’s worldwide enlargement and dedication to wash energy-powered AI infrastructure. The businesses have signed an settlement to develop a 12-megawatt information heart in Norway, powered solely by hydroelectric power.

Set to return on-line later this yr, the ability is designed with scalability in thoughts, with plans to increase its capability to 52 megawatts. The mission underscores Crusoe’s concentrate on sustainability by aligning its information heart operations with clear, renewable power sources – crucial for serving energy-intensive AI purposes with out exacerbating environmental influence.

Chris Dolan, Chief Information Middle Officer at Crusoe, emphasised the synergy between efficiency and sustainability. “Crusoe Cloud’s state-of-the-art AI infrastructure is straight related to plentiful, clear hydroelectric electrical energy by way of our partnership with Polar,” mentioned Mr. Dolan. “This allows our European prospects to run their AI workloads with unparalleled efficiency with out compromising their environmental commitments.”
