Coral Vita, a Freeport, Bahamas-based business land-based coral reef restoration firm, raised over $8M in Sequence A funding.

The spherical was led by Builders Imaginative and prescient, with participation from Katapult Ocean, iAlumbra, BDT & MSD, 2050, Rypples, Colorado Coral, Rising Tide, Aureolis Ventures, Wilson Sonsini, Kate James, Mariano Battan, Olavo Mutarelli, Jim Salem, Christian Nielsen, and others.

The corporate intends to make use of the funds to increase operations, advance R&D efforts, strengthen partnerships, construct workforce capability, develop income streams.

Based in 2015 by Sam Teicher and Gator Halpern, Coral Vita is a reef restoration options firm that grows resilient corals at scale to revive threatened reefs. In 2019, it established a business land-based coral farm for reef restoration in Freeport, Grand Bahama.
