Xeons not impacted by Intel’s crashing CPU scandal

The issue isn’t just an inconvenience of your laptop shutting down within the gaming. The bug causes irreversible degradation of the processor over time. Positive, Intel can situation a microcode replace. However there is no such thing as a reversing the harm performed to that $1,000 CPU. For sure, players will not be pleased.

Fortuitously, the problem solely applies to the high-end desktop processors. Xeons are protected.

A part of the issue is that the desktop elements are designed for overclocking, as a result of players wish to squeeze as a lot efficiency out of their processors as is feasible. However the design of the Xeon inherently disallows overclocking of any form and has extra inflexible management over the voltage, so the options and structure don’t exist within the Xeon that may enable for this drawback within the first place.
