Vertiv to expand switchgear manufacturing in Ireland

Vertiv has introduced a significant growth of its native manufacturing operations in Derry and County Donegal, with a number of hundred new jobs anticipated to be created over the following six months.

The recruitment push is geared toward strengthening its electrical switchgear manufacturing capabilities, with output from the North West services supporting clients worldwide. Vertiv linked the growth to accelerating demand for energy infrastructure as knowledge centres scale as much as help rising digital companies and the continued adoption of AI.

The roles will probably be unfold throughout three Vertiv manufacturing websites within the area: Campsie in Derry, and Burnfoot and Letterkenny in County Donegal. The corporate stated vacancies will cowl manufacturing, engineering, high quality assurance and wider help features, with a specific deal with hands-on manufacturing roles.

Paul Ryan, President of Vertiv in Europe, the Center East and Africa (EMEA), famous, “This growth represents a significant vote of confidence within the expert workforce and enterprise atmosphere of the Northwest area. The growth of the services and creation of those roles in Derry and County Donegal will enhance our manufacturing capability and allow us to ship important digital infrastructure at scale and pace.”
