Vertiv has launched the Vertiv™ PowerDirect Rack, a 1U high-density 50V DC energy system shelf designed to convey resilience to even essentially the most demanding AI and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. This modular system scales as much as 132kW per rack by integrating a number of energy cabinets, enabling enlargement whereas minimising area necessities. Out there globally, Vertiv PowerDirect Rack presents an entire infrastructure energy answer, supporting two instances the facility capability in the identical footprint, in comparison with different options.

The Vertiv PowerDirect Rack is designed to assist information centres maximise energy effectivity and scale with ease. Constructed for Open Compute Challenge (OCP) ORv3 Excessive Energy Rack (HPR) environments, it delivers high-density energy whereas decreasing vitality waste and simplifying operations. With versatile AC and HVDC enter assist, real-time monitoring and modular scalability, the facility shelf allows seamless enlargement to permit IT groups to satisfy rising energy calls for with out growing rack area or complexity, in comparison with conventional AC uninterruptible energy provide (UPS) with separate rectification and energy distribution, or decrease density DC energy cabinets.

“At the moment’s information centres face growing stress to ship extra energy in much less area whereas supporting the speedy development of AI and HPC purposes,” mentioned Kyle Keeper, senior vp of the facility enterprise unit at Vertiv. “Vertiv PowerDirect Rack addresses these challenges with a scalable, energy-efficient DC energy design that equips operators with the flexibleness to adapt to evolving workload calls for and construct future-ready infrastructure.”

Constructed for efficiency and flexibility, the Vertiv PowerDirect Rack delivers advantages that simplify energy administration and enhance information centre vitality effectivity. Key options embrace:
