Vertiv has launched the Vertiv™ PowerUPS 9000, an energy-efficient, high-power density uninterruptible energy provide (UPS) system with a compact footprint. The system is engineered to help IT purposes from conventional computing to excessive density purposes. It’s obtainable globally in UL and CE fashions, from 250 to 1250kW per unit.

The Vertiv PowerUPS 9000 is designed for high-power density, in addition to a excessive double-conversion effectivity of as much as 97.5%. The system allows quick and simple set up, with prime or backside cable entry, in addition to backfeed safety and floor fault package choices which can be embedded within the system with out want for additional area or on-site set up. The items are deployable wherever on the planet, lowering potential procurement and repair inconsistencies, supply delays and downtime.

“The Vertiv PowerUPS 9000 UPS is engineered to maximise reliability and effectivity and to minimise footprint and complexity,” mentioned Giovanni Zanei, vice chairman, massive energy at Vertiv. “With its modular construction and high-power density, it is going to ship energy-efficient, dependable energy safety that information centre prospects are searching for to guard each conventional and combined AI purposes.”

The Vertiv PowerUPS 9000 is Vertiv’s most effective UPS in its product class, with a bodily footprint 32% smaller than earlier generations. It’s suitable with Vertiv™ EnergyCore lithium battery cupboard, and different battery applied sciences, together with Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA) and Nickel-Zinc.

Devoted, segregated controls and twin, hot-swappable communication and management boards enable every energy module to function independently. Within the occasion of a fault, the affected module can isolate itself, thereby defending the opposite modules and enabling continued operation. The continual-duty stable state static bypass swap optimises the bypass line, and the system is totally hot-service and hot-swappable, which means upkeep and upgrades can happen with out downtime.

The Vertiv™ PowerUPS 9000 might be enabled with Vertiv™ Subsequent Predict, a preventative upkeep technique with superior monitoring, data-driven well being analytics and insights that optimises website operations. By leveraging AI and machine studying algorithms to watch precise tools situations and measure tools well being, Vertiv affords a complete resolution for optimum tools efficiency and longevity.

In Vertiv’s check labs, Vertiv engineers subjected Vertiv PowerUPS 9000 to intensive Engineering Validation Assessments (EVT) and Design Validation Assessments (DVT) towards a large spectrum of operational situations to substantiate its efficiency and reliability in real-world eventualities. It additionally handed further environmental, efficiency and nook case checks – together with particles safety, structural checks of seismic integrity and sturdiness, and voltage surge and sag checks – that simulated excessive situations the system could encounter.
