Vertiv has launched the high-capacity fashions of its Vertiv™ Liebert® AFC inverter screw chiller vary with low world warming potential (GWP) refrigerant. Accessible in Europe, the Center East and Africa (EMEA), the brand new fashions present as much as 2.2 MW of cooling capability in a single body, leading to a smaller carbon emission footprint, requiring fewer models to be put in for capability, and decreasing set up and upkeep time and prices for information centre operators.

The most recent Liebert® AFC fashions are high-density, outside, free cooling chillers that present the {industry}’s highest capability in a single body. These future-ready chillers allow hybrid operation for information centres deploying AI and HPC liquid cooling functions and are compliant with present regulatory necessities within the EU. The chiller is an integral a part of the general Vertiv answer to simplify information centre deployment and administration. By pairing the Liebert AFC chillers with chilled water options reminiscent of Vertiv™ Liebert® PCW perimeter air handler system, Vertiv™ Liebert® XDU coolant distribution unit, Vertiv™ Liebert® CWA thermal wall system, and Vertiv™ Liebert® iCOM™ CWM good management, operators can effectively deal with the cooling wants of colocation and cloud information centre functions.

“Because the demand for AI and HPC deployments grows, prospects are more and more searching for options that present increased cooling capability inside a compact footprint,” said George Hannah, senior world director for chilled water techniques at Vertiv. “Our newest Liebert AFC low-GWP chillers attain as much as 2.2 MW, in type issue that considerably reduces the time, value, and complexity of deploying these techniques. This answer helps our dedication to environmental accountability and compliance with the most recent regulatory requirements and aligns with our goals to proceed our industry-leading experience in air and liquid cooling functions.”

Vertiv™ Liebert® AFC presents as much as 20% decrease annual power consumption in comparison with mounted screw options. The inverter-driven compressor permits for the discount of power consumption and, particularly, {the electrical} energy required throughout peaks, which in flip permits extra energy availability for the IT tools. The revolutionary regulation algorithms supply correct management of the fluid supply temperature to the indoor models, enhancing cooling continuity and reliability. The unit is designed to function with a extra eco-friendly refrigerant R1234ze HFO, which permits information centre house owners to adjust to the EU F-Gasoline Regulation 2024/573 and permits prospects to assist urgent sustainability objectives.
