Vertiv is releasing an entire 7MW reference structure of the NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 platform, co-developed with NVIDIA, that can allow clients to remodel conventional information centre architectures into AI factories able to powering AI purposes throughout the enterprise.

The reference structure will speed up the deployment of the NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 liquid-cooled rack-scale platform and helps as much as 132kW per rack. The structure takes an end-to-end method to infrastructure design to optimise deployment velocity, efficiency, resiliency, value, vitality effectivity and scalability for current- and future-generation information centres.

“We’re proud to deepen our collaboration with NVIDIA to allow AI-driven information centres of right this moment and tomorrow,” mentioned Giordano (Gio) Albertazzi, CEO of Vertiv. “As a pacesetter in important energy and cooling infrastructure, Vertiv is uniquely positioned to assist the NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 platform. Our portfolio of high-performance energy and cooling options, mixed with our international scale, will allow clients to deploy AI information centres quicker, extra effectively and with better flexibility to deal with densification, dynamic workloads, retrofits and allow future-ready designs.”

“New information centres are constructed for accelerated computing and generative AI with architectures which can be considerably extra complicated than these for general-purpose computing,” mentioned Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “With Vertiv’s world-class cooling and energy applied sciences, NVIDIA can realise our imaginative and prescient to reinvent computing and construct a brand new {industry} of AI factories that produce digital intelligence to learn each firm and {industry}.”

With Vertiv™ energy and cooling infrastructure matched to, and intently coupled with, the NVIDIA Blackwell platform, the reference structure simplifies and accelerates deployment of AI workloads in new and present information centres whereas lowering threat and enabling standardisation throughout websites. The structure’s full important energy infrastructure is designed to considerably cut back stranded energy by aligning AI clusters to information centre capability blocks. The hybrid liquid- and air-cooling infrastructure leverages the interdependent impression of the 2 approaches to effectively handle high-density warmth elimination. As well as, the design contains steerage for optionally available Open Compute Undertaking-inspired programs, akin to DC energy cabinets.

The reference structure is a part of the Vertiv™ 360AI portfolio of reference designs for retrofit and greenfield information centres, designed to assist clients navigate built-in options for energy and cooling for AI and different high-performance computing purposes. Key advantages of the co-developed reference structure for the NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 design embody:

● Speedy Deployment and Retrofit: Enabling the usage of preconfigured modules and manufacturing unit integration, VertivTM MegaModTM CoolChip delivers turnkey AI important infrastructure as much as 50% quicker than onsite builds.

● House-Saving Energy Administration: Utilizing Vertiv’s superior energy applied sciences, together with Vertiv™ Trinergy™ uninterruptible energy provide system (UPS) and Vertiv™ EnergyCore lithium battery cupboard, the design delivers industry-leading reliability and energy-efficient energy administration in ~40% much less area in comparison with legacy choices.

● Vitality-Environment friendly Cooling: Integrating liquid and low-GWP (World Warming Potential) air cooling applied sciences at scale – together with Vertiv™ AFC chiller, Vertiv™ Liebert® CW chilled water-based room cooling system and Vertiv™ XDU coolant distribution models – presents as much as 20% decrease annual cooling prices in comparison with fastened screw options.

● Dynamic Workload Administration: Built-in load averaging by way of lithium-ion battery and subsequent era UPS supplies assist for dynamic GPU workloads.

● Set up and Operations Companies: With an industry-leading scale, scope, and attain of ~4,000 subject service engineers globally, Vertiv is the trusted lifecycle service companion and complicated system-level skilled for retrofit and newbuild.

As enterprises embrace AI at an unprecedented tempo, Vertiv is reshaping the way forward for important energy and cooling to assist accelerated computing, with probably the most full portfolio of important digital infrastructure that permits AI-ready infrastructure able to managing the distinctive necessities of AI and different accelerated compute purposes.
