This revision is about to tighten the reins on the sale of superior chipmaking instruments, AI accelerators, and high-performance semiconductor chips to China. The brand new rules, detailed in a 166-page doc out there since March 29, define the precise chip sorts allowed for export.

These updates will demand licenses for exporting elements and computer systems with efficiency over 70 TeraFLOPS. Notably, this impacts the RTX 4090D graphics card, with its 73.5 TFLOPS computing energy, and the NVIDIA H20 information middle accelerator, boasting 74 TFLOPS.
