The New South Wales Treasurer, Hon. Daniel Mookhey MP, at present poured the ultimate concrete on Macquarie Information Centres’ latest 47 megawatt (MW) facility, IC3 Tremendous West. The ceremony marks the completion of the constructing’s exterior construction and a serious milestone towards its scheduled opening in September 2026.

IC3 Tremendous West would be the solely knowledge centre so as to add new AI capability to Sydney’s north zone in 2026. With all of the end-state energy already secured, the ability is being purpose-built to fulfill the rising calls for from Hyperscalers, Enterprise and Neoclouds for GPU and high-performance computing capability within the Tier 1 hub. The ability is a part of Macquarie Information Centres’ 200MW growth pipeline including extra AI and cloud capability to the market.

NSW Treasurer, Hon. Daniel Mookhey MP stated: “Corporations like Macquarie Information Centres maintain investing, maintain increasing, and maintain believing that NSW could be a world residence for high-tech infrastructure. And it occurs as a result of the federal government has chosen to take planning and funding supply critically.

“Within the years forward, hundreds of companies will run smarter as a result of this constructing exists. Analysis will speed up as a result of this constructing exists. AI functionality will broaden as a result of this constructing exists. And NSW can be extra aggressive – globally aggressive – as a result of this constructing exists.”

Sydney is cementing its place as a number one hub for AI, cloud and digital innovation. Supported by new initiatives such because the NSW Authorities’s new Funding Supply Authority, which goals to speed up future know-how infrastructure tasks like Macquarie Information Centres’ just lately introduced 150MW deliberate website.

Macquarie Information Centres Group Govt, David Hirst, stated, “IC3 Tremendous West is the subsequent knowledge centre in our pipeline of websites deliberate so as to add circa 200MW of AI and cloud capability in Sydney. Demand for high-density AI infrastructure is essentially the most vital megatrend we’ve seen in over 25 years within the knowledge centre trade. IC3 Tremendous West, opening in Q3 2026, is purpose-built for the high-density energy and liquid cooling calls for of recent AI know-how. Sovereign knowledge centres maintain Australia aggressive within the world market and are the muse of our AI future.”

IC3 Tremendous West is the third facility to be constructed on the main supplier’s 65MW Macquarie Park Information Centre Campus in Sydney’s north zone and is designed to help a hybrid mixture of air and liquid cooling for direct-to-chip, high-density AI and cloud workloads. Section 1 of the construct is a ~$350 million funding and can ship the whole core and shell with 6MW IT load fitted out.
