Thailand’s second- richest man Sarath Ratanavadi plans to broaden his firm funding in information facilities to serve rising demand for synthetic intelligence providers.

His power firm Gulf Vitality Improvement Pcl and its companions plans to double the capability of an information heart facility in Bangkok with a THB10 billion funding ($271 million), the corporate CFO Yupapin Wangviwat informed reporters Thursday, in line with Bloomberg.

“We set the enlargement of the second part now as a result of we anticipate a surge in demand for our information heart providers,” Sarath stated on the press convention in Bangkok.

“A soar in AI adoption and cloud computing will considerably improve demand for our information heart bandwidth.”

The corporate has additionally signed a cope with Google’s guardian firm Alphabet Inc to run cloud operations in Thailand.

The Bloomberg Billionaires Index estimates that Sarath has a internet value of $9.1 billion, second highest in Thailand behind property tycoon Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi.
