Synopsys and SiMa.ai have introduced a strategic collaboration to reinforce automotive edge AI options.

The partnership will speed up the event of silicon and software program for superior driver help techniques (ADAS) and in-vehicle infotainment (IVI).

The answer will combine Synopsys’ EDA instruments and automotive-grade IP with SiMa.ai’s machine studying accelerator and software program stack. Present software-defined car architectures wrestle to fulfill the calls for of numerous AI purposes, necessitating AI-ready, power-efficient options.

The alliance will allow early structure exploration and shift-left software program improvement for optimized efficiency and integration. The built-in resolution will present customizable, silicon-proven constructing blocks for high-performance automotive machine studying techniques.

Steady upgradeability will permit for the event of AI purposes that meet each present and future automotive necessities.

“Collaborating carefully with Synopsys permits us to offer automotive producers with full, optimized options that speed up their improvement cycles,” says Krishna Rangasayee, Founder and CEO, SiMa.ai. “The SiMa.ai MLSoC platform was designed for absolute best efficiency at lowest energy consumption throughout a various set of purposes—that was the lacking piece within the puzzle to make future vehicles a lot smarter and safer than what we’ve at this time. When mixed with Synopsys’ industry-leading IP and software program, we are going to ship a robust basis for innovation throughout auto OEMs in autonomous driving and in-vehicle experiences.”

Each corporations goal to modernize {hardware}/software program co-design processes for automotive producers, enhancing in-car experiences.

Synopsys and SiMa.ai will showcase their collaboration at CES 2025, highlighting improvements in automotive edge AI options.
