ST Telemedia International Knowledge Centres has revealed two initiatives to strengthen Singapore’s stature within the digital and vitality sectors. The FutureGrid Accelerator, Southeast Asia’s premiere dwell AI testbed powered by Excessive Voltage Direct Present (HVDC), comes alongside a collaboration with 4 key Institutes of Greater Studying (IHLs) in Singapore.

Working from the Nanyang Technological College, Singapore (NTU Singapore), the FutureGrid Accelerator, a joint effort with LITEON, demonstrates HVDC utilization for AI workloads. This high-efficiency setup is poised to boost knowledge centre structure by fostering resilience and decreasing vitality consumption in Singapore’s development in the direction of sustainable vitality options.

Conventional AC techniques face limitations. In distinction, HVDC seeks to supply advantages comparable to vitality financial savings and a minimised environmental footprint—as much as 30% fewer vitality calls for and a 400-tonne discount in CO2 emissions per megawatt yearly. STT GDC inked Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with the Institute of Technical Schooling (ITE), Singapore Polytechnic (SP), NTU, and the Nationwide College of Singapore (NUS). These MOUs will impression over 8,000 Singaporeans, fostering talent improvement in AI infrastructure and sustainable vitality techniques.
