ST Telemedia to Invest $3.2B to Boost Its Indian Operations

Singapore-based ST Telemedia World Information Facilities (STT GDC) has introduced plans to make investments $3.2 billion over the subsequent 5 to 6 years so as to add 550 MW to its information middle capability in India.  

The initiative will assist the corporate nearly triple its IT load capability there. It has 28 information facilities with a complete capability of round 318 MW throughout 10 cities.

“This strategic funding displays STT GDC’s confidence in India and the expansion of its digital economic system, in addition to aligning with the burgeoning demand for digital infrastructure, pushed by the surge in information consumption, cloud computing, digital transformation, and rising adoption of AI purposes,” mentioned the press launch.

“At STT GDC, we wish to play an energetic position in co-investing and contributing to India’s long-term success by investing within the foundational digital infrastructure that may assist additional speed up Digital India,” mentioned Bruno Lopez, president and group CEO, STT GDC.

Earlier this 12 months, STT GDC began work on its third information middle campus in Chennai, South India. Moreover Chennai, the corporate has a presence in Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Noida, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi.
