Snowcap Compute Raises $23M in Funding

Snowcap Compute, a Palo Alto, CA-based startup constructing a commercially viable superconducting compute platform, raised $23M in Seed funding.

The spherical was led by Playground World. Different buyers included Cambium Capital, and Vsquared Ventures.

The corporate intends to make use of the funds to develop operations and its growth efforts.

Led by CEO Michael Lafferty, Snowcap develops a commercially viable superconducting compute platform designed to ship dramatic positive aspects in velocity and power effectivity for AI, quantum, and high-performance computing.

Along with Lafferty, the founding crew contains Chief Science Officer Anna Herr, Ph.D., and Chief Know-how Officer Quentin Herr, Ph.D., who’re globally acknowledged because the foremost researchers in sensible superconducting computer systems with key roles at Northrop Grumman and imec.
