Skyports, a London, UK-based chief in proudly owning and working vertiport infrastructure and flying electrical drones, raised £88.6M in Sequence C funding.
Backers included ACS, by way of its wholly owned infrastructure improvement/concessions enterprise Iridium Concesiones de Infraestructuras S.A., and Groupe ADP. The funding will see Iridium CEO, Nuria Haltiwanger, be part of the Skyports Board of Administrators as Chairperson.
The capital will help key developments on either side of Skyports’ enterprise. Skyports Infrastructure, which earlier this 12 months introduced the signing of a tripartite settlement with the Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai (RTA) and Joby Aviation, will use the funding to construct out its vertiports forward of the launch of air taxi providers in Dubai by 2026 and proceed to progress different markets. Skyports Drone Companies will proceed to construct on its current providers, together with not too long ago launched offshore vitality asset deliveries, medical deliveries, linear asset inspections and water high quality monitoring providers.
