The creation of a liquid cooling methodology or answer that maximizes the energy-efficiency of AI knowledge facilities is the main target of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed by Koran telecom operator SK Telecom, precision liquid cooling supplier Iceotope Applied sciences, and SK Enmove, certainly one of Korea’s prime base oil and lubricant suppliers creating thermal fluids for knowledge facilities.

Lowering the ability consumption of cooling and air con methods is crucial to creating an energy-efficient AI knowledge heart, since these methods account for almost all of vitality consumption in knowledge facilities.

By rigorously distributing dielectric fluid to the server’s hotter elements, Iceotope’s precision liquid cooling (PLC) know-how would successfully decrease vitality use.

As per the MOU, SKT, Iceotope, and SK Enmove will work collectively to implement precision liquid cooling (PLC) at SKT’s AI Information Middle Testbed through the use of SK Enmove’s thermal fluid. The deployment is meant to focus on the advantages of PLCs for electrical energy and cooling effectivity. Moreover, with Iceotope’s technical help, SKT will create an built-in Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) to accommodate quite a lot of liquid cooling methods.

“By combining core applied sciences and capabilities of SKT, Iceotope and SK Enmove, we count on to develop modern vitality effectivity options that may not solely assist us strengthen our competitiveness in AI knowledge facilities, but additionally put us on the fitting path in the direction of sustainability,” stated Lee Jong-min, Vice President and Head of Future R&D at SK Telecom.

AI Autonomous Cooling System

SKT intends to create an autonomous cooling system powered by AI sooner or later. To enhance the AI knowledge heart’s working effectivity, the AI Autonomous Cooling System will autonomously regulate the provision temperature and thermal fluid circulation fee within the CDUs by analyzing the temperature and energy load inside the ability.

“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with SKT and SK Enmove on AI knowledge heart innovation and sit up for serving to them and their prospects to comprehend energy-efficiency of their services with our Precision Liquid Cooling options,” stated David Craig, CEO of Iceotope Technologies.

“Significance of building sustainable atmosphere is rising today. By means of this cooperation, we goal to contribute to the vitalization of the immersion cooling market and solidify our place as an Vitality Saving Firm,” stated Search engine optimisation Sang-hyuk, Vice President and Head of e-Fluids B2B Enterprise Workplace at SK Enmove.
