September's Cyber Defense: Introducing QCi's Cyber Solutions

As a first-to-market nanophotonic-based quantum technology company, Quantum Computing Inc. publishes a monthly newsletter to share the latest announcements and news involving quantum technologies. This month’s issue focuses on QCi’s cybersecurity solutions, partnerships, and participation in cyber conferences in the United States and overseas.

World Says Cybersecurity, We Say Solutions

Our QCi Team, including Robert Liscouski, CEO; Dr. William McGann, COO/CTO; Mike Keymer, VP of Quantum Solutions and Derrick Sturisky, Senior Director, traveled abroad to participate in the Financial Time Cyber Resilience Conference, with QCi’s new partner Recyber, in Lausanne, Switzerland. Meeting with European delegates, international organizations, and cybersecurity experts in the field, our leadership team explored collaborative solutions to combat cyber threats across both public and private sectors. Our presence at the event was to demonstrate how quantum technology can offer solutions to these challenges and we are here  to provide them today.

Quantum Computing Inc. and European-Based Assured Cyber Protection Ltd Enter into Sales and Teaming Agreement

Quantum Computing Inc. signed a strategic sales and teaming agreement with Assured Cyber Protection Ltd (“Recyber”). The primary objective is to jointly market and deliver cybersecurity solutions with the aim of establishing a Zero-Trust network environment through quantum authentication and Post Quantum Cryptography. Recyber, based in London and Geneva, specializes in AI-empowered cybersecurity assessment, continuous detection, and mitigation. Through this partnership, QCi will offer quantum authentication and encryption solutions, making us one of the first European companies to do so.

Recap of QCi’s Recent Engagements

Financial Times Cyber Resilience Summit

Our CEO Robert Liscouski delivered a compelling address at the Financial Times Cyber Resilience Summit in Lausanne, Switzerland, highlighting the critical relevance of cybersecurity within the business sector. Liscouski addressed the difficult balance necessary when exchanging information between the public and commercial sectors, particularly for organizations with government dependence and national security concerns. He strongly advocated for the integrated incorporation of effective cybersecurity policies into fundamental business processes, emphasizing the need of making cybersecurity a key priority for smaller companies facing the threat of cyberattacks.

Quantum Tech Europe 2023

Our team attended Quantum Tech Europe in London to strengthen our European partnerships with companies deeply committed to leveraging quantum technologies as future industry leaders. Businesses acknowledge the potential of quantum solutions to confer competitive advantages as these technologies become more widely accepted. That’s why we’re here to participate in their quantum revolution and provide active assistance for their strategies and advancements.

The Hill’s Notable Staffers Reception

Quantum Computing Inc. recently attended The Hill’s Notable Staffers reception in Washington, D.C., where we celebrated 25 congressional staff members for their outstanding contributions to advancing policy on Capitol Hill. Our CEO, Robert Liscouski, offered some remarks to commend these exceptional employees and recognize their diligent efforts in moving policy forward.

Modular Quantum Security Extensions

Quantum Random Number Generator

Our QRNG is photonic based, where we harvest the time-energy degree of freedom of photons. Single photon before detection is in superposition time modes, which means it is not possible to predict which state the single photon will collapse into. By measuring the stochastic arrival time of single photons, we obtain true randomness from this quantum process.

Quantum Key Exchange/Distribution (QKD)

dQKD is QCi’s high dimensional quantum key distribution protocol. dQKD is an entanglement-based quantum key exchange method which uses multi-dimensional quantum keys and can be easily integrated with existing telecommunications networks. d-QKD has the added benefit of not requiring quantum error correction.

Quantum Authentication

Our qAP is quantum authentication protocol that utilizes zero-knowledge proofs. Using pre-shared symmetric keys, qAp-0 enables authentication between communicating parties without revealing full or partial keys to the possibility-not-trustworthy third parties while eliminating the need for complex computation.

Quantum Physical Unclonable Functions (PUF)

Our quantum authentication protocol utilizes physical unclonable chips. qAP-PUF provides a means to verify device integrity thereby ensuring the authenticity of transmitted information. Security, in our case, is enabled by the infeasibility of cloning PUFs, quantum superposition, and quantum entanglement properties.

Quantum Computing Inc. Selects Tempe, Arizona as the Site for its Quantum Photonic Chip Foundry

Quantum Computing Inc. (QCi) has chosen ASU Research Park in Tempe, Arizona, for its quantum photonic chip manufacturing facility, focusing on Thin Film Lithium Niobate (TFLN) chips known for scalability and high performance. QCi’s move into Arizona signifies its ambition to reduce reliance on foreign chip imports and strengthen U.S. manufacturing capabilities. Operations are expected to commence by early 2024, with a focus on specialized chips, followed by complex nanophotonic circuits.

This expansion in Tempe holds potential for economic growth, establishing a quantum technology sector and solidifying the region’s reputation as a technology hub. It aligns with QCi’s broader mission to lead in nanophotonics and quantum optics while reinforcing supply chain security and bolstering U.S. technology leadership.

Meet the Newest Member of Our Technical Advisory Board

Quantum Computing Inc. Appoints Dr. Javad Shabani, NYU Director of the Center for Quantum Information Physics, to its Technical Advisory Board

Dr. Javad Shabani is a recognized expert in quantum materials and devices for computation technologies. As an Associate Professor of Physics and Director of the Center for Quantum Information Physics at New York University, Dr. Shabani’s research interests are mainly on developing novel quantum hardware using materials innovation. The Technical Advisory Boards’ mission is to guide the strategic evolution of QCi’s technology, while ensuring effective commercialization of product rollouts.
