A new network route from Gdańsk to Warsaw and Poznań has been launched by international network services provider RETN. Improved connection to Warsaw, Poznań, and Berlin is now available from the recently established Point of Presence at the Artnet Data Centre in Gdańsk.

With this development, RETN would become the 12th Polish Point-of-Presence for domestic and international connectivity, benefiting enterprise organizations, ISPs, and wholesale clients.

Following the recent expansion of RETN’s Warsaw metro fiber ring and the establishment of a new network route connecting into Poznań and Berlin, this would mark a significant milestone in RETN’s ongoing commitment to enhancing network connectivity in Poland, according to Amy Bajer, Managing Director, RETN Poland & CEE. By using connections to reach all of RETN’S current PoPs in these countries, the company would be able to provide complete data transmission services, Internet Access (DIA), Cloud Connect, Wavelength, L2 and L3 VPN, IP across Europe and Asia via these critical sites.

Gdańsk, the biggest city in Poland by land area and home to probably the largest container port in the Baltic Sea, the Port of Gdańsk, is an important market. RETN’s wide network currently covers the whole Tri-city (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot) metropolitan region. According to RETN, customers will be provided with secured and reliable connection in all offices, industrial, distribution, and retail sites throughout Eurasia thanks to this.

DWDM and IP/MPLS Network Platform

With unique network resources to link Europe and Asia, RETN is one of the fastest growing independent Eurasian network service providers. At the renowned Global Carrier Awards in 2023, RETN was named the ‘Best Pan-European Carrier.’ Offering a wide range of connectivity services, such as IP transit, Ethernet & VPN, Capacity, Remote peering to major IXPs, Colocation and Cloud Connect, RETN’s network runs on leading equipment vendors such as Infinera, Juniper and Ciena.

Built on its own homogeneous DWDM and IP/MPLS Network Platform and extensively branched land routes, RETN’s “innovative” solution to link Europe and Asia passes through Western Europe, Eastern Europe, up to the border with China, and then into Southeast Asia.

RETN claims to provide telecommunication services throughout its Eurasian network with “short lead times, industry leading uptimes, and multiple layers of redundancy.”
