Qualcomm acquires Arduino in bid to dominate edge and embedded AI

Qualcomm introduced its acquisition of open-source {hardware} and software program supplier Arduino earlier this month.

Arduino will proceed to develop unbiased programs within the spirit of the open supply group whereas having access to Qualcomm’s edge expertise and worldwide attain.

A brand new product referred to as Arduino UNO Q makes use of a dual-brain structure to do HPC and real-time management for AI-based apps, powered by Qualcomm Dragonwing processors.Arduino App Lab is a brand new cross-platform built-in improvement setting bringing the simplicity of Arduino to Actual-time OS, Linux and Python-based gadgets supporting AI.
