Plantible Founders Tony Martens Fekini and Maurits van de Ven

Plantible Foods, a San Diego, CA-based expertise firm leveraging vegetation to advertise the well being and longevity of individuals and the planet, closed a $30m Collection B funding spherical.

The spherical was co-led by Piva Capital and Siddhi Capital, with participation from new traders Betagro Ventures, Domesticate Subsequent (the enterprise arm of Chipotle Mexican Grill), Nourish Ventures (the enterprise arm of Griffith Meals), and current investor Astanor Ventures.

Based in 2018 by Tony Martens Fekini and Maurits van de Ven, Plantible is a worldwide meals provide chain firm that has developed a proprietary and vertically built-in agricultural manufacturing platform to supply Rubi Protein, a useful protein derived from Lemna (generally often called duckweed).

Plantible’s Rubi Protein outperforms the useful and dietary properties of conventional proteins (each animal and plant) enabling meals corporations to innovate whereas optimizing prices and delivering merchandise with improved style, texture, well being and environmental footprint. 

This funding will allow Plantible to broaden its manufacturing operations at its first business plant, aka “The Ranchito,” a 100-acre facility positioned in West Texas.
