NTT DATA’s International Knowledge Facilities division will develop and function its third information heart campus in Berlin, a key Tier 2 information heart market in Europe. This addition is a part of NTT DATA’s world enlargement efforts to fulfill a rising demand for information utilization and computation, with over $10 billion in information heart development projected for fiscal years 2023-27 throughout key markets across the globe.

This new campus is comprised of 10.8 hectares (approx. 26.6 acres) and can help a deliberate capability of 96MW of essential IT load throughout two information facilities. The positioning is situated 30km west of Berlin, within the municipality of Brieselang. Building is anticipated to start out in 2025.

The event expands NTT DATA’s market presence in Berlin, complementing its present Berlin 1 and Berlin 2 campuses. Berlin continues to achieve significance as a result of its geographical location, rising density of infrastructure, diversification and depth of shopper demand, and its proximity to the federal authorities. NTT DATA at the moment operates 48 information facilities in seven international locations in EMEA, with greater than 429MW of essential IT load and 212MW of deliberate enlargement.

“Berlin is a vital market in our rising portfolio and enlargement plans,” stated Doug Adams, Chief Government Officer and President of NTT International Knowledge Facilities. “This new growth strengthens our presence and paves the way in which for additional entry into Tier 2 markets, facilitating our sustained development and management within the information heart business as we proceed to fulfill our purchasers’ wants.”

“Our focus stays on offering extra capability by increasing our footprint in each Tier 1 and Tier 2 markets in Europe,” stated Florian Winkler, Chief Government Officer EMEA and International Chief Working Officer, NTT International Knowledge Facilities. “The enlargement in Berlin leverages our earlier successes in creating and working information facilities throughout continental Europe and the UK, and we stay up for constructing this new website in partnership with native authorities and stakeholders.”
