Nimbus Power Systems, a Groton, CT-based developer of gasoline cell applied sciences for heavy-duty autos, raised an undisclosed quantity in funding.

The spherical was led by Connecticut Improvements, with participation from further traders.

The corporate intends to make use of the funds to speed up the event and demonstration of its zero-emission gasoline cell engine.

Led by CEO Michael Gorman, Nimbus Energy System develops zero-emission, gasoline cell methods for mobility and stationary energy markets aiming to offer zero-emission replacements for heavy-duty engines at present serving these markets. The corporate’s gasoline cell engine is engineered to ship increased efficiencies and decrease emissions, in comparison with conventional diesel engines, addressing a important want within the transportation trade’s push towards decarbonization.
