Nearby Computing and technology consulting services provider Tech Mahindra have partnered to introduce a new approach to 5G deployment. According to both companies, the solution aims to redefine the 5G landscape with benefits for implementing Alepo and Casa Systems’ 5G solutions.
Both companies say the solution focuses on modernizing underlying Tech stack and offers NaaS – Network as a Service use case via intent based orchestration. Casa’s cloud-native 5G Core, combined with Alepo’s subscriber data management and converged policy control, aims to deliver a low resource footprint that keeps initial investment low, in a bid to give service providers and private enterprises the ability to deploy 5G networks quickly.
Josep Martí, CEO of Nearby Computing, says: “We are thrilled to join forces with Tech Mahindra to simplify and expedite the deployment of Alepo and Casa Systems’ solutions. Our edge automation platform, NearbyOne, adds substantial value to the deployment process, ensuring that operators can unlock the full potential of 5G technology.”
According to Gartner, by 2025, 70 percent of CSPs will implement optimization tools and practices to reduce cloud operations costs, compared with 5 percent in 2022.
Additionally, a recent report by Analysys Mason found that spending on private networks will reach $7.7 billion in 2027. The number of private LTE/5G networks worldwide will grow from over 4,000 in 2022 to over 60,000 in 2028. Enterprise spending on private networks will increase from $1 billion in 2022 to $9.2 billion in 2028. As the requirement for private networks grows, the complexity of these solutions requires specific tools to manage and automate the various infrastructures, network functions and applications.
“Our collaboration with Nearby Computing underscores our commitment to empowering telecom operators with the latest 5G solutions,” adds Manish Mangal, global head of network services and Ankush Gupta, solution architect, global network services at Tech Mahindra.
“By merging our global reach and expertise with Nearby Computing’s automation finesse, we can equip operators with the tools they need to thrive in the 5G era.”
The joint solution promises to accelerate 5G deployment, enabling operators to meet market demands. In addition, the company claims Nearby Computing’s edge automation platform sets a new standard for deployment efficiency by reducing manual intervention and ensuring error-free implementations.
