Micron Expertise has unveiled a brand new lineup of high-performance SSDs designed to fulfill the rising demand of AI information facilities. Constructed on Micron’s NAND9 structure, the lineup contains the 9650 PCIe Gen6 information middle SSD, alongside the high-capacity 6600 ION SSD and the 7600 Gen5 SSD for mainstream information middle workloads.

Concentrating on high-throughput, low-latency AI workloads, the Micron 9650 SSD can assist as much as 28 GBps sequential learn and 14 GBps sequential write speeds, together with 5.5 million IOPS for random reads and 900,000 IOPS for random writes. Micron claims the SSD is FIPS 140-3 Degree 2 and Commerce Agreements Act (TAA) compliant, making it appropriate for US authorities deployments. For dense, high-performance server environments, a liquid-cooled E1.S model can be out there.

Throughout inference, excessive throughput and ultralow latency are important to allow real-time information entry for big fashions, akin to enterprise brokers with prolonged context home windows and retrieval-augmented era pipelines. The 9650 affords superior efficiency per watt in comparison with Gen5 SSDs, reaching as much as 25% and 67% higher storage vitality effectivity for random writes and reads, respectively, the corporate claimed.
