Kyndryl, a technology infrastructure services provider, has recently unveiled two security edge services developed in collaboration with Cisco. These services aim to enhance security controls and proactively address cyber incidents, reflecting a significant stride in the evolving landscape of cybersecurity.
The first offering, Kyndryl Consult Security Services Edge (SSE) with Cisco Secure Access, is designed to provide a modular and unified approach for consulting and implementing an SSE architecture with Cisco’s technology. The collaboration emphasizes the importance of a comprehensive and well-structured approach to security consultation.
On the other front, Kyndryl introduces Managed SSE with Cisco Secure Access, a novel category of network security services that integrates security into a cloud-delivered service model. The offering goes beyond traditional solutions, providing an end-to-end solution for transition, implementation, and managed services of SSE solutions using Cisco’s portfolio of products and services.
This announcement builds on the partnership between Kyndryl and Cisco, marked by co-investment and collaborative efforts in developing scalable security offerings. The new security edge services, in conjunction with Kyndryl and Cisco’s existing SD-WAN services, empower enterprises to establish a foundation for transitioning into a secure access service edge (SASE) architecture.
Kyndryl extends these services to aid customers in areas such as application modernization, resilient networks, and secure infrastructure, incorporating a zero-trust network and facilitating hybrid work scenarios.
Brian Feeney, vice president, global security partner sales at Cisco, expresses the added value that the partnership brings to shared customers.
“With Cisco’s technology and Kyndryl’s cybersecurity services, we are able to provide our customers with an exceptional user experience and protected access from any device to anywhere,” he adds.
Michelle Weston, vice president of global offerings for security and resiliency at Kyndryl, highlights the evolving approach to security and resiliency. The collaboration with Cisco positions Kyndryl to help customers anticipate security incidents using the right tools and capabilities aligned with Kyndryl’s cyber resilience framework.
According to the company, Kyndryl’s global network operations centers and security operations centers play a pivotal role in delivering flexibility to businesses through security and resiliency capabilities.
