In Washington, D.C., NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang took the stage at GTC to ship what felt much less like a product announcement and extra like a sweeping manifesto for the way forward for computing. Addressing a packed auditorium, Huang mirrored on America’s technological heritage, calling GTC “the Tremendous Bowl of AI,” and spoke passionately about NVIDIA’s three-decade journey from GPU innovation to main a world transformation in accelerated computing.
He defined that conventional CPU efficiency had hit bodily limits, prompting NVIDIA to pioneer a brand new mannequin – accelerated computing – that marries parallel GPU processing with sequential CPUs. Through the years, this imaginative and prescient developed into CUDA, the software program ecosystem now underpinning a lot of the world’s AI innovation.
Mr. Huang described CUDA as NVIDIA’s “true treasure,” enabling builders throughout industries – from healthcare to manufacturing – to push the boundaries of computational science.
From there, he unveiled a sequence of groundbreaking bulletins: a brand new partnership with Nokia to carry AI-driven 6G telecommunications to life; NVQ Hyperlink, a quantum-GPU interconnect designed to merge classical and quantum computing; and a collaboration with the U.S. Division of Vitality to construct seven new AI supercomputers.
Jensen Huang’s central message was clear: the subsequent period of progress – in AI, quantum computing, and reindustrialized manufacturing – can be outlined by co-design, excessive efficiency, and made-in-America innovation.
