One new effort is the Mainframe Expertise Council, which is aimed toward creating a talented, numerous, sustainable workforce for the mainframe platform, in keeping with IBM. The Council options IBM shoppers and companions, academia, person teams, non-profits, and open communities working collectively to supply and implement mainframe expertise improvement packages.
