(Bloomberg) — Google mentioned it plans to speculate €5.5 billion ($6.4 billion) into computing assets and operations in Germany over the subsequent 4 years, becoming a member of a wave of spending pledges from expertise firms in current months.

The web big made the announcement on Tuesday in Berlin at an occasion with German federal ministers. The deliberate funding consists of two information facilities within the Frankfurt area, though Google didn’t specify the scale of the services.

In a press release, Google described its German spending pledge as a part of a “continued dedication to Europe.” For years, the corporate has needed to fend off complaints and regulatory motion within the area over privateness, antitrust and copyright considerations.  

In September, Google introduced plans to spend £5 billion ($6.8 billion) within the UK over the subsequent two years. The German pledge consists of the growth of three Google places of work.
