Flit, a Cambridge, UK-based engineering firm that builds folding electrical bikes for city commuters, £1.2M in funding.
Backers included ACF Traders, Cambridge Angels and former Head of Technical Improvement at British Biking, Tony Purnell.
The corporate intends to make use of the funds to ramp up manufacturing of its newest mannequin, the FLIT M2, at its Cambridge facility.
Based in 2016 by Dave Henderson and Alex Murray, Flit offers e-bikes which can be lighter and extra compact than conventional e-bikes. A key innovation behind the M2 is FLIT’s no-weld adhesive bonding method, which can be utilized in aerospace and automotive engineering.
This newest funding builds on an Innovate UK grant in 2023 and can speed up manufacturing and supply of the FLIT M2 to UK clients, which started in October 2024.
