ESR completes first phase of campus in Osaka, Japan

Gcore unveils data centre in Incheon, South Korea

ESR Group has accomplished the core and shell of the primary facility at its flagship knowledge centre challenge in Nanko Kita, Osaka, Japan.

The Cosmosquare OS1 knowledge centre is the primary facility to be accomplished on the campus. It’s scheduled to be operational in Could 2025, and can present 25 MW of information centre capability as soon as totally fitted out.

The campus is being developed in three phases – OS1, OS2, and OS3 – which is able to collectively present a complete of 130 MW capability.

The US$2 billion hyperscale campus is situated inside 10 km of the key web and telecommunication exchanges within the Osaka central enterprise district.

Stuart Gibson, ESR Group Co-Founder and Co-CEO, stated, “We’re delighted to achieve this vital milestone in our first Osaka knowledge centre growth, making a campus-style asset with growth functionality in a primary location of a excessive development market.

Diarmid Massey, CEO of ESR Knowledge Centres, added, “ESR’s Cosmosquare campus, which is backed by ESR DC Fund 1, is a notable showcase of our acceleration in technique to cater to the regional development of Cloud and Digital Infrastructure. We’re fulfilling the rising buyer want for knowledge centre capability, that’s being turbocharged by the outsized AI demand that’s rapidly migrating to APAC.

“Our pipeline of hyperscale knowledge centres will ship next-generation environmentally targeted options to our finish prospects and enterprise companions to energy the expansion of digital infrastructure in Osaka and throughout APAC.”

ECR plans to develop 575 MW of dedicated knowledge centre websites in key markets throughout APAC, with a pipeline of greater than 2 GW value of land and initiatives.
