Equinix Plans USD 94 Million Investment in Third Rio de Janeiro Data Center, Brazil
Equinix has introduced a USD 94 million funding in its third knowledge centre (RJ3) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Scheduled to launch within the first half of 2025 and strategically located in Sao Joao de Meriti, RJ3 can have a versatile design, 560 racks, and 1,467 sq. meters of house in its first part of development, the corporate introduced, in response to native media experiences.

Core Digital Providers Accessible

All of Equinix’s core digital and interconnection providers will likely be obtainable to prospects from the beginning of operations, together with Equinix Material and Equinix Material Cloud Router. Interconnected Knowledge Facilities

Equinix has two extra knowledge centres within the state: RJ1, in Botafogo, and RJ2, within the Del Castilho neighbourhood, about 17 kilometres away from the third knowledge centre (RJ3). Based on the corporate, all websites will likely be linked to one another, together with through a redundant fibre connection between RJ2 and RJ3.

The state of Rio de Janeiro has the connection of submarine cables, eight of which finish within the RJ3 area, together with AMX-1, Brusa, and GlobeNet, offering connectivity with america and Central America, the corporate stated.
