Electra.aero, Inc., a Manassas, VA-based superior aerospace firm, secured $115m in Collection B funding.

The spherical was led by Prysm Capital, and Jay Park, Co-Founder and Managing Accomplice at Prysm, has joined Electra’s Board of Administrators. Lockheed Martin Ventures, Honeywell, and Safran are amongst strategic buyers together with Statkraft Ventures, the Virginia Innovation Partnership Company (VIPC), and different personal buyers. 

The corporate intends to make use of the funds to enter the pre-production and certification part of the EL9, its Extremely Brief plane, which may take off and land in 150 toes.

Led by Marc Allen, CEO, Electra is a complicated aerospace firm constructing hybrid-electric Extremely Brief plane that flies individuals and cargo with out airports, emissions, or noise. For protection operators, the EL9 introduces novel logistics and troop transport capabilities, together with the power to take off and land with a low signature in helicopter-sized areas in distant, austere areas and offering cell energy capabilities whereas constructing on the security, price, and vary benefits of a fixed-wing plane.
