EDGNEX Knowledge Facilities by DAMAC, a world digital infrastructure firm backed by the DAMAC Group, a world conglomerate headquartered in Dubai, has introduced the event of a next-generation AI-powered information middle in Jakarta, Indonesia, its second available in the market. This milestone venture marks one among Southeast Asia’s largest AI-dedicated developments, with a future projected capability of 144 MW and a complete funding of $2.3 billion.

Following the land acquisition accomplished in March 2025 by DAMAC, the positioning has entered early building phases, with the power’s section one anticipated to be prepared for service by December 2026. The Jakarta facility will deploy high-density AI racks, setting new benchmarks for next-generation infrastructure within the area. As a foundational asset in Indonesia’s digital journey, it is going to be pivotal in accelerating the nation’s transition from an analogue base to a sturdy, AI-powered digital economic system. Indonesia stays a high-potential Southeast Asian market but faces digital infrastructure gaps, restricted hyperscale readiness, and rising latency challenges. With AI adoption accelerating throughout sectors, this venture responds to the nation’s rising demand for scalable, energy-efficient infrastructure.

“That is our second venture in Indonesia, and this improvement reinforces our dedication to bridging the digital divide in fast-growing markets throughout Southeast Asia (SEA), corresponding to Indonesia,” stated Hussain Sajwani, Founding father of DAMAC Group. “We’re proud to construct what’s going to turn out to be one among Southeast Asia’s most superior, sustainable information facilities to energy the subsequent wave of innovation and digital development. The dimensions of AI workloads calls for a brand new class of infrastructure. This venture is a part of our broader push throughout SEA, the place now we have dedicated over USD 3 billion in digital infrastructure investments so far.” The power will goal a Energy Utilization Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.32, considerably enhancing vitality efficiencies and aligning with EDGNEX’s international sustainability

requirements. The second Jakarta information middle builds on EDGNEX’s rising presence in Thailand, Malaysia, and different key SEA markets. In 2024, Edgnex introduced its first information middle in Indonesia, a deliberate 19.2 WM information middle to be constructed at MT Haryono in Jakarta. The positioning is in essentially the most interconnected information middle clusters in Jakarta’s central information hub. It is going to deal with the rising demand for cloud service suppliers, edge nodes, and potential synthetic intelligence deployments. The primary section is scheduled for completion within the third quarter of 2026. The regional purpose for Edgnex in SEA is 300+ MW of operational capability by 2026.
