DOE announces MoU to develop safe and trustworthy AI

The U.S. Division of Vitality (DOE) and the U.S. Division of Commerce (DOC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on growing secure and reliable AI.

This partnership is a key instance of the Biden-Harris Administration’s whole-of-government strategy to make sure secure, safe and reliable AI improvement.

This announcement follows the latest launch of the first-ever National Security Memorandum on AI, which designated the U.S. AI Security Institute (US AISI) housed inside NIST.

It will turn out to be a key hub of the US authorities’s AI security efforts and identifies a considerable position for DOE in serving to the US authorities perceive and mitigate AI security dangers and enhance the efficiency and reliability of AI fashions and techniques.
