Google Cloud Interconnect is now available at Digital Realty’s Brussels data center, enabling its customers to access Google Cloud services via a redundant cross-connect and through Digital Realty’s interconnection and orchestration solution, ServiceFabric™.

Digital Realty’s customers located at its Brussels data center in Belgium are now able to order cross-connects between their private infrastructure and Google Cloud’s global network, enabling the optimization of hybrid IT architectures. Enterprise customers will benefit from low-latency, high-performance, secure, and cost-efficient connectivity to Google Cloud.

In addition, ServiceFabric™ underpins many of the capabilities of Digital Realty’s global data center platform PlatformDIGITAL®, the ideal meeting place for enterprises with unparalleled access to several densely populated connected data communities including: 5,000+ customers, 1,300+ network service providers, and 1,100+ cloud and IT providers.

With the addition of the Brussels data center, PlatformDIGITAL® now hosts 15 Google Cloud locations: Atlanta, Brussels, Copenhagen, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, Madrid, Marseille, New York, Paris, Santiago, São Paulo, Stockholm, Vienna and Zurich. Customers can interconnect directly in these locations, as well as leverage virtual access to any Google Cloud region via ServiceFabric™ from almost 100 locations globally[1].

Google Cloud Interconnect facilitates the shortest path to customers’ Google Cloud resources. While in transit, customers’ network traffic remains on the Google Cloud global network, never touching the public internet, resulting in improved performance through more predictable and reliable routing. When creating a new connection, customers can choose a hosted connection provided by Digital Realty or a dedicated connection into Google Cloud. Digital Realty provides the physical meeting place where Google Cloud customers and partners can establish direct connections and optimize hybrid IT solutions and data-intensive AI workloads.

“We’re delighted to announce that access to Google Cloud Interconnect is now available in Brussels. This strategic expansion is crucial for businesses looking to scale and thrive in today’s digital landscape. With this new location, customers gain enhanced connectivity options, empowering them to unlock the full potential of Google Cloud and accelerate their growth. We remain dedicated to providing the tools and infrastructure needed for businesses to succeed on their digital transformation journeys,” said Dirk van de Geer, Managing Director, Digital Realty in Belgium.
