Dexa, a NYC-based AI-powered search engine specifically built with multi-modal content in mind, raised $6M in seed funding.
The round was co-led by Abstract Ventures and The General Partnership, with participation from Maple VC,Vercel founder Guillermo Rauch, Terrence Rohan and Casey Caruso.
The company, which also announced an exclusive partnership with Huberman Pod, a health podcast, intends to use the funds to further invest in product development and build its engineering team.
Led by Riley Tomasek, Founder & CEO, Dexa was built to address a larger trend in how people consume content and search for things online, particularly when they are looking for advice or guidance. Starting with podcasts – and with plans to expand to video within the next year – Dexa’s technology is able to index, analyze and transcribe conversations with such precision that we can tell users exactly who was speaking, what they said and when in the episode they said it.
With Dexa’s AI-powered podcast assistants, users can explore, search, and ask questions related to the knowledge shared by trusted creators. Whether they’re curious about sleep supplements, programming languages, growing an audience, or achieving financial freedom, Dexa’s AI bots are designed to assist people in unlocking the wisdom of experts like Andrew Huberman, Lex Fridman, Rhonda Patrick, Shane Parrish, and many more. Additionally, Dexa features respected neuroscientists, research scientists, thought leaders, and distinguished biomedical scientists among their roster of featured experts.
Already, more than 50,000 users are visiting Dexa’s site each month to search for advice and insight about popular topics like supplements, sleep, exercise, stress, AI, consciousness, programming, and more.
