CyrusOne KEP breaks ground on facility in Japan

CyrusOne KEP has begun building on its first information centre undertaking in Japan.

The ability, named CyrusOne KEP OSK1, is situated within the Kansai area and can ship 48 MW of capability throughout six 8 MW information halls as soon as operational.

Development of the shell and core twill happen within the second half of 2025; the event shall be delivered in three phases, with the primary 16 MW to develop into operational by the primary quarter of 2028.

CyrusOne KEP is a three way partnership between CyrusOne and utility supplier Kansai Electrical Energy Co, which was fashioned in Might 2023.

“CyrusOne KEP combines CyrusOne’s deep expertise in information centre design and operation with KEPCO’s immaculate observe file for delivering energy reliably and sustainably all through Kansai over many a long time, creating a singular partnership that concurrently optimises digital and energy infrastructure,” mentioned Eric Schwartz, CEO of CyrusOne.
