CtrlS unveils upcoming Chennai hyperscale Datacenter Park

CtrlS unveils upcoming Chennai hyperscale Datacenter Park

Hyderabad: CtrlS Datacenters Ltd, a outstanding knowledge heart operator, has revealed plans for a brand new knowledge heart park in Chennai. This upcoming facility, positioned within the Ambattur industrial space, will include two knowledge heart buildings with a mixed IT load capability of 72MW.

The corporate is investing Rs 4,000 crore within the Chennai Datacenter Park, aiming to create roughly 10,000 jobs by way of the ecosystem, with 500 direct positions and over 9,000 oblique employment alternatives.

This marks CtrlS Datacenters’ fifth hyper-scale datacenter campus in India, following their profitable institutions in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Noida, and Bangalore.

The primary constructing, Chennai DC 1, is totally booked and is scheduled to start operations in Q2 2024. The second constructing, Chennai DC 2, a Floor + 10-floor construction with a 27 MW IT load, is accepting bookings and is ready to launch within the latter half of 2024.

Key options of the CtrlS Chennai DC Campus embody:

– State-of-the-art 230 kV on-campus gas-insulated substation (GIS)

– Superior cooling applied sciences for AI readiness

– Earthquake-resistant design to face up to as much as a magnitude of seven.5 on the Richter scale

– Flood-proof positioning at 14 meters above sea stage, with DC buildings elevated by 2.2 meters

– 9-Layer bodily safety

– Photo voltaic panels built-in into the constructing façade

– Plans for LEED Platinum certification by way of renewable power and water recycling initiatives

In a press release, Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder & CEO of CtrlS Datacenters, expressed their enthusiasm, stating, “We’re delighted to unveil our upcoming Chennai DC Park. Chennai is the second largest knowledge heart market in India and holds strategic significance due to the presence of enormous variety of subsea cable touchdown stations, coupled with the rising presence of enterprises and cloud service suppliers within the area.”
