AtNorth, a premier Nordic high-density collocation and bespoke knowledge centre supplier, has introduced a big growth of Crusoe Cloud’s capability at its ICE02 knowledge centre in Iceland. This initiative, in collaboration with Crusoe, a pioneering vertically built-in AI infrastructure supplier, goals to cater to the rising demand for Crusoe Cloud companies from various prospects throughout Europe and North America.

Initially, the partnership, unveiled in December 2023, laid out plans for 33MW of capability at ICE02. The most recent collaboration extends this with an extra 24MW, marking a pivotal element in Crusoe’s European technique. The info centre already boasts low-latency networks and a number of undersea fibre optic cables, making certain dependable worldwide market entry.

The augmentation additionally integrates next-generation infrastructure, together with the set up of NVIDIA GB200 NVL72, NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, and NVIDIA Hopper GPUs, positioning ICE02 forward within the generative AI panorama.

Powered solely by renewable power sources, ICE02 has adopted Direct Liquid to Chip (DLC) cooling expertise, underscoring dedication from each firms to low carbon operations. Crusoe’s CEO, Chase Lochmiller, emphasised the importance of this sustainable infrastructure, highlighting using Iceland’s ample geothermal and hydroelectric power for demanding AI workloads on Crusoe Cloud.

Eyjólfur Magnús Kristinsson, CEO of atNorth, expressed enthusiasm for Crusoe’s shopper success and the partnership’s new section. By incorporating superior infrastructure and energy-efficient cooling expertise, the growth aligns with each firms’ sustainability aims, supporting Crusoe’s journey to decarbonise and supply AI-ready options responsibly.

AtNorth is attuned to the rising demand for sustainable AI-ready knowledge centres. Its modular design helps scalability and adaptability essential for immediately’s complicated workloads. Latest collaborations, notably with Nokia and 6G AI Sweden AB, underscore shopper expectations to stability premier expertise with environmental stewardship, reinforcing atNorth’s dedication to delivering state-of-the-art, sustainable knowledge campuses.
