CrowdStrike says it’s not to blame for Delta’s days-long outage

CrowdStrike refutes Delta Air Traces’ allegations that the cybersecurity agency is guilty for a dayslong flight disruption following final month’s catastrophic system outage, saying that the airline rejected repeated affords to assist restore impacted programs. 

CrowdStrike reiterated its apology to Delta in a letter responding to public feedback concerning the airline pursuing authorized claims, however stated it “strongly rejects any allegation that it was grossly negligent or dedicated willful misconduct.” CrowdStrike says the litigation risk “has contributed to a deceptive narrative that CrowdStrike is answerable for Delta’s IT selections and response to the outage,” noting that competing airways restored their operations rather more swiftly.

“CrowdStrike’s CEO personally reached out to Delta’s CEO to supply onsite help, however acquired no response,” CrowdStrike lawyer Michael Carlinsky stated within the letter.
